Do they hold up to the wet pretty well, or is it a claggy nightmare?
Any particular bits to avoid?
Much better than the 'Wolds for sure.

Yeah, but so is the Somme, so that's not saying much ๐
it's not too bad IIRC, quite well drained, there will certainly be some muddy bits though
what he said ^^ some bits really boggy some bits draining well, on the whole its ok though
ignore me ๐ misread OP
for the most part drains well. if you were wondering whether or not to ride there this w/e then i'd expect the conditions to be good at the mo. it has to be minging when you're actually riding there for it to feel bad IME, although there's plenty of water in the combes, it's running water, most of it.
They do hold up pretty well, I've ridden them only in winter when it's been "average" wet. Bigger factor may be wind and rain if the weather turns bad as it's quite exposed and anything from the West/South West is going to blow right in off the sea.
I ride there quite a bit as I only live 10 mins away. It's all rideable all year round obviously it gets muddy after a big downfall but I've never found any of it unrideable no matter how wet it gets
It's winter, it's gonna be wet/muddy, deal with it !!
when its wet the Q's provide a special grinding paste which eats your brake pads.
Apart from that Del is spot on
Quite well compared with Exmoor and Mendip. Scared myself bombing down the usual combes the other weekend - not used to the speed and grip available.
