Saw a chap teaching a young lad some skills (They went for a drink in the cafe before we started the Red, and were still in there when we finished...)
I could do with contact details if anyone knows who it might be (or it was you), didn't want to seem rude and interrupt them!
btw, he had a black jacket with "Mountain Bike Skills" or something on the back... Wasn't just some random guy...
Bump for those coming back from a full day out!
Maybe The Mountain Bike Rock School???
Beat me to it! Saw him post on Twitter he was there today.
www.aquickrelease.com run skills days at Sherwood Pines too.
Cool, looks like Jonathon from the Rock School...
After someone to do TCL/MIAS2 in Sherwood, but it doesn't look like he does it...
Hi Conan257, I might be abke to help - will drop you a PM.
Cheers.
Conan, whacha after, thats my area.
Looking to get a half dozen or so guys qualified as TCL or MIAS 2 instructors so they can lead groups.
All are military types and could do weekdays or weekend, but really needs to be as close to Lincoln as possible, Sherwood is effectively our local center.
Hi Conan, I am posted into RAF scampton as of this monday ( 1ACC mover)
Where are you guys?
Waddo, quite a little following developing...
But we're a little short of qualified folk!
Are you on the RAF Cycling forum?
Hi Conan257, sorry for the hijack but do you ride out of Waddo much?
I'm just down the hill on Brant Road and struggling to find any decent trails (that aren't crafty ones) around here.
Edit to add: A couple of us are heading over to Sherwood tomorrow morning for a blast.
Si, MTB leaders need to be able to get up hills 😉
Dave Youngs is your man http://www.youngsmountainbikeinstruction.co.uk/
Contact Dave, Richie, but had nothing back from him...
Will send him another email.. Need to spend my SLC on something!
arcoolc, I'm in Harmston, in the local I just blast around the paths (farmers fields) and onto the canal-side track. Not that great, but gets me out.
Not on the raf forum yet
crush83, this is my quick jaunt route, however where I double back near 4, you can carry on following the canal.
Not really MTB, but definately off road...
