managed a whole 3 months of 'summer tyres' aka Nevegals on the hardtail this year, they are coming off tomorrow and trailrakers back on front and rear. Summer in Scotland...

I usually try and hang off till 1st September, but Mugdock is gonna be a mudfest tomorrow night ๐Ÿ˜•

Trailrakers ๐Ÿ™
I hate trailrakers, it's like towing a plough they drag so much

nsaints - I guess depends on the trail - they are the tyre of choice in these parts for the 9 months of winter !

It really does depend on where you live. Its very dry here at the moment. Nevegals may well go on for the winter......

Mugdock is nearly always a mudfest. I saw some leaves starting to turn in Kelvingrove the other day. Boo!

motorman - lovin it

stuart - indeed, although it's been pretty good really this summer - some good dusty rides and only really muddy this last week. Sunday was the turning point - out on the FS with 2.35 Rampages on - was like a hovercraft !!!

so hardtail and trailrakers and lights tomorrow!

motorman - just looked at that pic again - you must have carried the bike in to that puddle and placed it gently - not a spec of mud anywhere ๐Ÿ˜€

The summer treads failed to bite on a moderate hill in Oxon at the weekend. I'll persevere for a bit but can see them consigned to the loft come next month unless it drys out under the trees.

motorman - is it a trick of the camera or have you got motorbike wheels on your bike? Looks like a nice bike!

Still dusty dry in the Shire. What a lovely summer harvesting evening ride tonight ๐Ÿ˜€
I think/hope the Trailrakers will be in the shed for many weeks to come.

Wasn't too bad until I came across this hole, then it turned into a swamp-fest! See what you mean, but no, just a case of wrong gear to get out the other side.. ๐Ÿ˜†
Really heavy rain last week, was going to take EX8, but glad I opted for fat, trails i was on were pretty boggy in parts

Tonyd- 80mm rims with 3.8" Surly Larry tyres
