Just put my first ever High Roller on, never had one on a bike or ridden one before. (a cheap (relatively) plus one from CRC)
Any well known stuff you've never tried out?
Sram drivetrains. A mixture of they've never been on bikes I've bought and when building up bikes I've always gone for Shimano.
Full sus, never actually ridden one
I have SRAM on my Stumpy. It's ok. I think, by choice, I have only ever _chosen_ Shimano though. I grew uo with it and Deore is just really good value for money.
I've never tried to go 1x<big number>. My bikes have always been either 3x (for the older one) or 2x (newer ones) and i can't really see the reason for changing. Soooo much money for little perceived benefit.
>11speed
Oval chainrings
Tubeless. 29" wheels. More than 9 sprockets on a MTB
Basically I'm stuck in 2003
Tubeless, droppers, thru axles, fat/plus, boost, 27.5”, 11 speed (or even 10 on an MTB), clutch mechs, sprockets larger than 36t, head angles slacker than 70 degrees, e-bikes, Strava…
tubeless, droppers, fat tyres, 27.5 / 29 10 or 11 speed.
Might as well tell us what the HR is like as I would like to try them
Welsh trail centres
Downhill. Enduro. Racing in general.
EPO
Fixies, single speed (on an MTB, I've ridden them on shitty shopping bikes), toe clips, steel frames (on decent quality MTBs, I've ridden shitty cheap steel frames but never a good one), carbon fibre anything (stem spacers excluded).
Full sus, never actually ridden one
I've never owned a HT, I went from rigid in the 90s straight to FS in the mid 2000s. I've ridden one once I think.
I've never tried SPD / clipless or whatever it's called.
29er
tubeless
dropper post
carbon
downhill
racing
plus or fat tyres
etc.
Struggling with this!
Hardcore hardtail is the only thing I can think of, but then I demo'ed a Transition Throttle, which maybe falls into this category... so, as in other aspects of life.. I've tried it all 😆
Very specifically -
never tried 5-10 shoes (but there are a pair in my porch).
never tried a carbon frame or a singlespeed mtb ( have a bmx if that counts )
I can't even ride a bike without stabilisers
Tubeless. I love the idea but because my mtb can be out of action for several months and the recommendation is to change / throw away sealent every 3-6 months it seems too wasteful for me.
Rollers, electronic groupsets, powermeters, carbon wheels.
You’re seriously not missing out on not owning or trying a carbon frame however a SS - shame on you!
😜
Tubeless.
>9spd on an MTB
1* or 2* on an MTB

ecommendation is to change / throw away sealent every 3-6 months it seems too wasteful for me.
Don't fall for that one, just add a bit every 6 mnths or so.
Working in bike shops and bike couriering I've tried most things. The difficulty in my own choices is knowing what new things might work for me. Sometimes I'll take a risk and it works (Loop Bars for example). Other times I just can't get on with it/them (MTB STIs).
Road bikes ..never have / never will..
Is this where we all boast what backwards Luddites we are is if it's something to be proud of?! 😂😂😂
Haven't tried SPD sandals. Think that's probably it though.
full sus, dropper.
Well I borrowed a FS bike for some laps of 10 Under but that was it.
Never ridden a BMX, I have held one ... once.
droppers, 29rs, 27ers, electric shifting, 11 sp gears.
Your mums.
Proper down hill
Fat bikes
E-bikes
Long travel full suspension - Anything over 140mm.
Carbon or Ti frames
I’d like to give all of them a go at some point though.
Singlespeed. But all my bikes have the option to only use one gear

Averageness in rubber form basically. Never awful, never great
Tubeless (thought I'd be pretty much the only one)
Boost/Fat/Plus
not particularly high on the "must get around to it some time" list, either
Tubeless (thought I’d be pretty much the only one)
I'm only tubeless because my new bike came that way. My world remains unchanged.
Frankly I'm getting a bit miffed having to top up the air pressure every other ride.
Road bikes.
Boost frame/forks.
Maxxis Tyres
Manitou forks
Coil Shock
12 speed
Clipless - well until next week that is.....
@P-Jay - Wouldn't surprise me if your bike has no fluid in it, bikes that come tubeless tend to ship without
Spd pedals. The work of the devil 👹
If I had a road bike I'd still ride flats I reckon.
or just not enough fluid/sealant.
Your mums.
She’s upset you've forgotten her already. 😭
SPDs +1
Why the **** you'd want to be attached to something that you might need to chuck away from you in a hurry is beyond me.
Why the **** you’d want to be attached to something that you might need to chuck away from you in a hurry is beyond me.
why this myth persists is beyond me as well.
Gravel/bike packing, all that jazz, passed me by.

You clip out without thinking about it
