Hello,
I bought some bar tape, nice black spongy tape, all good.
However, it turns out that it doesn't have that adhesive strip on the back.
Never seen that before. Am I being a bit thick? How do I stick it to the bars?
Tried some fancy Gorrila double-sided tape but that doesn't seem to be bendy enough, so that's a no. Also would tape even be waterproof?
Glue? What sort? I'll need to get it off at some point, but again I'll need to be waterproof.
I've got some tub-tape which might work, try that maybe?
.
Or does anyone want four rolls of bar tape and I'll get something else
.
Cheers

It's not the adhesive strip that keeps it on the bars.

Not all bar tape has an adhesive strip, if you wrap correctly it doesn’t need it

It doesn’t need any adhesive backing. Just wrap it properly and nice and tightly with an appropriate amount of stretch for the type of tape.

Whilst it's not needed adhesive backing does have the added advantage of helping the tape stay on should it become damaged in a crash, fall or something, such as in a cross race!
