The challenge for this week is to take a picture of your bike under water.
No need to take it literally and drop your bike in to the sea, you just need to get at least part of your bike below the surface of a significant volume of water.
It could be a waterfall, a dam or a pair of lock gates, an overhead pipe, a water tower or an aqueduct. Use your imagination.

Argh - so many potential opportunities at various water treatment works and reservoirs for me, but all likely to result in some form of disciplinary action too ๐Ÿ™

The tunnel underneath an open reservoir would have been good.

Will have to find something else then...

RocketDog, would you like to explain this that I found on your Flickr page ?

This photo was taken on January 23, 2010 using a Canon Digital IXUS 110 IS.

Yes it is.
Not the water in the River Severn, the water in the pipeline on the bridge.

This involved building a 73 mile long aqueduct down which the water travels at less than 2 miles per hour, taking one and a half days to get to Birmingham.

Hmmm, you've got me there, although I did ride under the bridge immediately after taking the photo.

Two on the way to work today. Locks on the Worcestershire Canal.

They're expecting the peak at about 4:30am. I took this at about 1:30am and the water was up to the top of the first plank

Oh, OK, I get you now.
However, if I can outpedant you, the bike is below the water in the picture, even if it's not directly under the water in real life. ๐Ÿ˜›

Another one that's not really under water, although it would have been if I'd taken it yesterday.
My commute along the River Severn. I had to stop and clear flood debris off the path in a couple of places.
The twigs and weeds tangled up in the gate show where the water was last night when I took the one by the flood barrier. The river has dropped over 2m in less than 24 hours.

Any suggestions for next week's challenge ?
I'd like to do one that links up with this thread somehow.
http://www.singletrackworld.com/forum/topic/interesting-unknown-engineering-landmarks-in-the-uk
Victorian Engineering ? Bridges, tunnels, railways etc.
Public Works ? Pumping stations, water works, power stations.
War relics ? Pill boxes, Iron Age hill forts, ROC bunkers.
Or maybe something completely different ?

P20's at it as well now. ๐Ÿ‘ฟ

This photo was taken on May 12, 2002 using a Canon Digital IXUS v.

There are rules to this challenge.
Proper rules as well, not like red traffic lights where you can choose whether you want to obey them or not.

A couple of ideas for a photo challenge.....

Find a fellow biker, someone that you dont know of course....and get a photo taken with them...

Or as above but with a complete stranger and a non biker ?

Or dare I say it.....get a photo taken with a 'Rambler' ๐Ÿ˜‰

Not exactly under water, but on the end of a pier so effectively 'at sea'.

Just after i took it someone came out of the house and looked at me as though i was mental. I suppose a tubby bloke in lycra paddling around in a beck could look a little unusual.

Was nice to see the little drain holes in my wheels work though - took about a minute for all the water to run out of the front rim:)
