Follies and monuments.
This map might prove useful if you're planning a ride. http://follies.org.uk/index.php/map/
The rules.
1. Take a photo of your bike with something that matches the theme in the picture.
2. Interpret the theme any way you like.
3. Pictures should be taken between the dates in the topic title.
4. If you post a picture you can either suggest a theme for next week’s challenge or vote for someone else’s suggestion. First suggestion to get two supporting votes becomes next weeks theme, probably.
5. No limit on number of photos posted.
My bike is actually in it this week, for the first time ever I think. Bonus points if you can guess the location.

Bike location?
It's the blue object you can see at the bottom of the stone cross. Thats your bike.
What did I win?
Sorry, I'll ask for the zillionth time, how do I post something from Google Photos?
Tonight's gravel ride. Two of these places are on the map @MidlandTrailquestsGraham linked to.
No one else got anything to nominate for next week? I'll vote for ginnels, snickets, alleys etc ...
Do memorials count?
Radar memorial and the Chapel at St Aldhelms head

Woodhenge.

War Memorial,
Fort Henry, Churchill watched D-Day preparations from these bunkers.

Folly,
Great Globe sculpture at Durlston.

Not quite a monument but preserved historical significance.

Next week's suggestion. Alleyways
Today's Grand Tour was a bit of a failure. I wasn't sure if there was public access to the clock tower at Abberley, Worcestershire or not. There isn't. You'll have to take my word for it that it is somewhere behind me hidden by the trees.

Plan B was the three follies at Mawley Hall, Shropshire. Private land again and I was told by two people out walking that there is 24/7 on site security and they don't like uninvited visitors, so that was out.
Anyway, alleys it is for next week then.
