Loop both sides of th A57 in the Peak yesterday. Didn't see many out. Trails were running fast and dry.

Today we did a bit of trail maintenance and extension before going back after a snack to session it

Llandegla for us which was riding superbly. I managed to leave my front wheel in the car park, and not realise until we got to our holiday home in Barmouth - doh!!!

Drove straight back arriving at 745pm - then had 2 strokes of luck a)it was handed into the shop b)Ian was still there thanks to a broken down vehicle - man was I relieved!😁

It's unusual to see a (middle aged) man take so many selfies.

Comrie Croft had some excellent advice.

It's been half term, so a few local rides and faffage here.

One ride stands out for me - watching eldest_oab nail this Huck.

Just a couple of hours on Friday night, out along the beach to Prestwick for cake.

About 14 miles, one off, one puncture and one dead light so we came back sharing a very dim candle like glow.

It's a tassie solo riding thing, and it's Industrial Manchester so less scenery the better in the pics

If you are a fan of shaky video (managed to set my GoPro to a non-Hypersmooth resolution) and 80's Yugoslavian synth punk then you are in for a treat.....and if I get the video link to work.

Did you clean the Beast climb on that e-bike? How hard was it?

I fitted some 4pot brakes to my old Yeti 575 for my son's usage. He's away, so I took the 575 up to QECP to try it out - 26" WHEELS! Er, I didn't die. Bike felt great except sus setup for someone a couple or more stone lighter than me (Fox Factorys kept topping out, which was weird)
QE red was empty but running pretty well, despite the wet.
But man, I am so lacking in stamina these days. Is it my arrhythmia? I dunno. Too scared to go on long rides though.
(Sorry, no pics, just needed to share 🙂 )

Cleaned it in Eco mode. It went a lot better than what I expected as I have never cleaned it on any other bike in the last thirty years.

I passed up the chance to ride in the daylight to wait for the boyfriend to finish work but the trails were still running dry over Kinver.

Back in my old stamping ground, beautiful day but trails were in better nick up north TBH. Just a bit too sticky to carry speed on the flat Herts singletrack...

Eldest and I snuck out for an early-ish lap of Pines.

It was basically dry!

I'm a teacher on half term so it all feels like the weekend to me right now.

In Keswick for a week and my designated riding day was forecast the worst weather of the week but wasn't going to let that stop me. Too sensible to risk a solo 'wild' ride in the wind, rain and low visibility so winched up to Whinlatter. It was quite wet. On the upside the place was almost deserted.

[img] [/img]

Then my Reverb wouldn't drop so all the descents were mincingly done with the saddle up.
