I've not riden since Verbier on the 8th July. Playing nurse, physio and driver for the last 2 months since Kevin's incident has given me no time to get out.
On our way to Finale, could have postponed it but the break will be welcome.

Friday night's usual 'decompression' ride was replaced by riding to and from a dig session. Hopefully getting out for a proper ride Sunday morning (probably taking in the stuff we built/finessed Friday night as it needs some tyres over it).

Ride was quite nice but fallen trees and lack of other users has meant some spiky and stingy overgrowth on the RoW, spd sandals were not great for some sections. Also why can I no longer post a Flickr image?!
Ride up Glen Fruin and back (not quite). Lynne and sophie went so I followed on the bike. Legs gave out after 57 miles.
A bit of dog operating for me today, and some classic Warwickshire xc, aka walking a mile across a freshly ploughed field.
Glorious Gravel ride in Somerset yesterday. Well organised event and a super varied route that took us down Brean beach and up Cheddar Gorge.
Local spin out, very warm despite looking like it'd tip it down anytime (coat was a bad choice) Trails still decent too!

Was at a 50th birthday party (not mine) yesterday & last night.
Miraculously no hangover this morning!
Various jobs etc. to do when we got home, but after that got out on some local urban stuff for a change. Picked a route that holds up well in the dry and also put my massive mudguard on as I thought it was going to be wet. Needn't have worried - was all running great!

Gentle Sunday spin round the local.
We have arrived in Finale for the 8th year and it's the first time that the sea front and town square hasn't been full of Enduro racers and team pits.

I've got a few blurry pictures of my son mucking around in the skills area at QE park in Hampshire today and that's it. Kids on bikes do rock though 🙂
Weekend away with my adult sons. We'd been intending to head to the Lakes, but the forecast for Sunday was wall-to-wall rain, so headed over to the North Yorks coast. Planned to do some Dalby off-piste stuff, did a couple if runs then found out the main fire road linking the trails was being used for a rally! As we didn't particularly want to be mowed over by Mk 2 Escorts slithering around the gravel at 100mph, we reverted to the last section of the red (which was officially closed).
A solo circuit of the lower parts of The Wrekin on Sunday afternoon; I couldn't be bothered riding uphill for any of the descents so stuck to the paths at the bottom. First time out on the bike for several weeks though, and starting from home several miles to the east, so it was the thick end of 24 miles in total

Had a gravel ride round my old turf in Broxbourne Woods. Was more fun than the MTB there TBH.
