[Closed] WattBike Atom and training for Liège-Bastogne-Liège???

I’ve signed up for the Liège-Bastogne-Liège sportive next April, and am wondering about getting a WattBike Atom to help with winter training generally, and specifically looking for insight into what training might be beneficial for this particular parcour. Any of you have the Atom, and if so how do you rate it? The price doesn’t seem too bad compared to a normal trainer and bike, plus I like the fact that it’s all self-contained so alleviates any concern about unnatural stresses through te frame etc...

I have a Wattbike pro, 2 buddies have the Atom. I probably should have got the Atom, only big difference is that I need to manually increase the difficulty.
The Wattbikes just work, connectivity is really easy. The family use the trainer, we all know our settings so it takes seconds to set it up if someone else has used it. When I got mine, the Atom was new and having teething difficulties, but according to my friends who bore each other regularly on this subject, the problems seem to have been resolved.
In terms of training, I’ve used the Sufferfest for years, always following the training packs that come with a subscription. I’ve recently moved over to Zwift, just for a fresh view to help keep me motivated. I don’t think Zwift is better than Sufferfest, in fact the training in Sufferfest feels more personalised, it knows my weaknesses based on testing. Zwift seems to be more FTP focused. But they both work and give great workouts.
For your ride, either will work absolutely fine.

That’s a great help thanks 🙂 I’ve used Sufferfest videos pre-smart training before and found them helpful so will look at the app
