Currently using some Royals which are great but are too short so the water runs off and straight into me boots. So what are you using which is available in a 34" leg. Thanks
Those TLD's look very nice but only 32" leg and a 6.5" ankle cuff means theyre a drain pipe straight into boots. Thanks anyway
Endura Singletrack onsie for a curve ball
i have the Leatt hydradri trousers
Yeah been looking at onesies, but I cant find size dimensions easily
Very wet ride today, and I was nice and warm and dry...
I only use proper full waterproof trousers if it's torrential - Afan in January I'm looking at you.
Today I was in my general winter wet weather gear:
- Endura MT500 trousers - only a DWR coating, but they don't get really heavy even when wet.
- knee length merino-lined Sealskinz.
- fleece lined knee warmers.
- winter weight bib shorts.
+ Decent guards on the bike 😁
At one point I was riding down a 1ft deep stream/trail for a km, and I was still warm and dry underneath.
Fox Ranger 3L, been great for me.
If your boots have cuffs (like Five Ten Gore-Tex), use a GripGrab CyclinGaiter to hold the cuffs of the trousers onto them.
I have Fox Rangers and some Alturas that I think might be an old model now, both decent. But leg length just seems to be a weird blind spot for mtb trousers, I'm a fairly average shaped person and as far as I can tell there are just no mtb trousers that I can wear over proper kneepads that will also reach my shoes properly, so I definitely feel like I've settled for second best. There's practically no downside to having them be slightly long and bunch up over your shoes but instead they all seem to want to be as short as possible.
