I like the idea of being able to mount my iPhone to my bars and use it as a GPS/sat nav whilst on the road bike.

Anyone have recommendations for such s thing that is reasonably rugged and waterproof?

the lifeproof case is brilliant - rugged and you can ;eave it on all the time.

They do a bike mount but I've not tried that.

Ive been using a biologic for a year now, its still the best Ive seen. You will need a ipone 4+ to get worthwhile battery life and the bar/stem clamp is a bit crappy but otherwise recommended.

+1 for Biologic.

had mine for over a year now and used it in all conditions without any issues. Touch sensitive screen works really well, even in the wet.

I have the Wahoo bike pack. Its pretty good. I dont have a linky at the moment but if you search the forum it will be there. The best add on is the battery pack which adds 6 hours to the phone. This is pretty essential when doing long rides.

I have an ultimate mobiles one which is pretty good.
It's been used off road for about 6 months in all weather.

I use the toppeak iphone drybag - cheap and very effective.

I second the topeak case, have been using it on my Nokia C7 and now on my iphone, clips to my camelbak or to the handlebars.

I run Viewranger OS mapping on the phones, doesnt need coverage as the maps are in the phone, so helps battery life.

I bought a magellan toughcase from the states to use with my GF's touch. It has an integrated battery and it's own GPS, not really had the chance to try it in anger but it is bloody rugged.
