Can I stick them in the washing machine? It doesn't look like I can detach the strap. Could remove the lens and bung it in there. Any advice?

I'd imagine the washing machine would scratch them rather alot. I tend to just run water over them and try to avoid touching the lenses.

I pop the lens out and wash the frame and strap under running water if really mucky, but usually I just let them dry and clean the lens.

Well, removed the lens, put them in the carry case and chucked it in the machine at 30 degrees. Let's see what comes out!

I would of thought the dish washer would be better option.
