Hi all. I'm really keen on the Lapierre XR. Seems highly rated. Not many around though and I'm struggling to find a dealer with any as a test bike. There's plenty that will let me go around the car park.
I can't prepare to spend that sort of money without taking it off road. Anyone happen to know of a shop with any for testing in SE England. Or if there's any demo days coming up?
Or feel free to weigh in with opinions if you've already taken the plunge. I may be persuaded to buy off the internet. Or should I be sensible and save myself over £1000 by buying an Anthem X 29er 1 which is very light itself and highly by most.
You views welcome but go easy: I'm first time posting here despite being a long time Singletrack subscriber.
Have a weekend in the westcountry..... southfork in braunton, devon, are getting a large 729xr (with the electrickery) in as a demo soon. spend the rest of the weekend eating cream teas and walking on the beach - winner!
Personally I can't stand how the snapierre looks with its rather bizare shock mounting.
Has it got a penbox on it? My mates lasted 6 weeks before it fell apart and needed a complete unit fitted under warranty.
I've got an Anthem X1 and it's superb.
