Well, it looks as though finances will dictate that an overseas adventure is unlikely this year so looking closer to home now

5 day adventure required. Doing an event in Scotland in the latter part of 2011 so would like to have a crack at wales.

is there an off-road (predominantly) route where i can link north to south?

sustrans looks largely on road although may be an option.

would be self supporting and looking to wild camp where possible.

anyone with any suggestions?

cheers!

Sounds a good trip idea. I may be in the same boat this year, so I'm watching for suggestions with interest.

I was looking at doing this too. I'll probably be doing the Haute Route this year instead but initially came across the following link:

If you do a bit more Googling I'm sure you'll find more on it.

Aidan rode this last year and blogged it.

Unless you are dead set on a N2S C2C there is also this W2N C2C from issue 59 which I am looking at. I may add on the Trans Cambrian IMBA route to make it about a week.

Taylor mentioned Aidan's route and while I was researching this alternative, finishing at Afan / Port Talbot instead, I stumbled across this route by the numplumz boys.

I was one of the riders on the W2N C2C so if you have any questions, give me a shout.
