Anyone know of an out front bar mount for a Wahoo on a 35mm bar?

Struggling to Google one above 31.8

Actual size

Blimey those 76 projects ones are a bit full on.

I already have a 31.8 k-edge one and like it so I'll try and find stock of the xl ta 👍
£54 though 😳
Not a lot of stock about currently as with many things.

Still pricey but comes with the mount underneath for a light

Madison have stock of the K-Edge ones, they came in a couple of weeks ago. Part number KE4505WBK for the Wahoo mount or KE4505WCBK if you want the combo version for mounting a camera or light underneath.

I've just bought one from ebay that is advertised as fitting garmin/bryton/cateye and has a gopro mount underneath and comes with a mount that would allow a light like a joystick, etc(can be left off). It has longer bolts for the top of the stem (so bar size doesn't matter). It was a fiver.

Superstar do some as well, it says Garmin but in the description let's you know you turn the fitment and it works for Wahoo.

Another shout out for a top cap mount

Have one on each bike and imho prefer to an out front bracket - they just look weird on MTB!

Also only cost 10 quid
Cheers

Can't do a top cap mount.
It's for a knee bike, which cleverly hides the key for the downtube battery release in the stem cap.

Not so keen on a stem faceplate mount one ideally as I like it to be able to move a bit if I crash. P.s, are all stem faceplate bolts spaced equally?

I’ve just bought one from ebay that is advertised as fitting garmin/bryton/cateye and has a gopro mount underneat

I'm not sure that the Wahoo is compatible with the Garmin mounts 🤔

I went with one of these stem mounted brackets that puts the unit over the stem, the top cap mounts seemed a bit vulnerable to knee strikes to me. I didn't want to spent loads on a 35mm mount and my stem was too short for the 'strap on' stem mount.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Best-Tek-Elemnt-Mount%EF%BC%8CWahoo-Bolt%EF%BC%8CElemnt/dp/B07N1GJHV3/ref=sr_1_9?crid=LI7WYLG8601Y&dchild=1&keywords=wahoo+stem+mount&qid=1617088811&s=sports&sprefix=wahoo+stem%2Csports%2C155&sr=1-9

I also tried a superstar version but the twist mount was rubbish/poor tolerance (Wahoo would rotate just trying to push the buttons) and because it had no angle adjustment, I had to move a spacer from below my stem to between the stem and bracket so the GPS didn't foul the stem (lowering my bars). Finally, when I rotated the insert from Garmin to Wahoo orientation, one of the socket head bolts immediately rounded out.

@kayak23

It is compatible with the Wahoo as I have a Wahoo! 😉

I've used my old Garmin mounts with my wahoo by turning 90 degrees. Some have required the tiniest silver of plastic to be shaved off but most just clunk into place.

The stem spacing doesn't matter as the mount has a wide slot and uses spacers to hold the mount away from the faceplate. Hard to explain without a pic, but trust me it does. Another bonus is that the usb charging port is directly above a nice big opening so that you can run a battery into it while mounted for long rides.

The free allen key that it comes with is of course rubbish monkey metal but you probably could've guessed that anyway! 🤣
