We will be in touch
Further to my earlier thread on French natural riding, the Vosges seemed to score well with her indoors, so it seems that the area will be our base this summer for a few weeks.
I have the 1:25000 IGN map of the area, and I am willing to navigate (call it adventure racing training) so where to start?? Are all the footpaths rideable (legally and technically)?? and is there a list of good routes anywhere online?
many thanks!
Try the tourist info offices as they have loads of way marked trails on maps and online. Scout around and you'll also find good natural singletrack / paths. It's very (very) steep and not all paths are rideable due to rocks / steepness. I took a 140mm full suss , stayed just outside Gerardmer and found stacks for just over 2 weeks, riding most days.
