I have new wheels with a deeper rim so my current inner tubes with 40mm valve length are not long enough for me to attach track pump to blow up.
Don't really want to buy new inner tubes as I have a large stash of new inner tubes with 40mm valves.
What valve extensions do I need and do they just simply screw on?

Been a while since I used valve extenders but it depended on if the valve in the tube was removable, if so you could remove it screw in an extender and then screw the valve in like with these;

If the valve didn’t remove I had some zipp extenders which just screwed on but obviously you couldn’t screw the valve closed so there was some air leak over time

To be honest, buy new tubes. And a spare. The zipp ones aren’t bad, silca better but need the valve removed. Not had any joy with Continental as too tight to screw in. Vittoria used to replace tub stem.

Currently rocking Silca on the deep section Jet 6/9 on latex tubes. Always carry a 90mm valve spare as swapping on the road is a pain. I have 90mm on other wheels too deep for 60 mm latex as life is too short.
