The quali results are in and it’s set up for a great race TOMORROW! The track previews are epic and each year I forget how savage the track is.
Cathro has nailed it again. Can’t eait for what he’ll post later.
All over on that other website...

Assume Tracy crashed in Quali?

My fantasy league is crap this year, even by my usual piss poor standards.

Looking at her splits she crashed late in her run.
I see Johannes Von Klebelsberg the Italian lad who raced in jeans at the last round is back and got 9th in qually!

The top two are really pushing each other - quite a gap on the rest!

Double header this weekend, XC short track tonight.
Love the DH race, and cathro analysis, but can never get excited about qualifying

True, look how often Rachel doesn't get on the top step in quali but still does it in the race.
Good to see a new woman stepping up at the top.

The Saturday race day caught me out and I didn’t update my team in time. Looks like a great track though and so I’m really looking forward to watching the race...just as long I can avoid any spoilers until the evening.

Just realised that Saturday is race day, for once at least before the race.

I love Vallnord, probably my favourite race to watch, so steep and technical. I think they ruined Leogang by trying to remove some of the bike park character, that is what that race is about, it is a bike park. I want to see the riders have to adapt to different styles of track at each race.

Of course the character of Vallnord should always be a steep high speed crash, starting at the beeps and ending at the finish line, that is what Vallnord is about. Bring on Danny Hart!

Just tried to watch the replay of the short course XC but RedBullTV was stuttering and buffering Hope it gets better for the DH.

Oh and don't forget that the start times on UCI and PinkBike are all CEST so knock off an hour for Blighty Standard Time.

So dusty, so hard to find the balance of going for a win and staying in control.

I don't think the mens can be won without taking big risks, I expect quite a few offs.

He even dropped a decent Canon with 70-200 2.8 in his panic to get it back. That might have cost him a few bob...

Fantastic! I’m going to have watch a lot of that again. And wasn’t it nice when we didn’t have to listen to a commentary for a minute?

Hoffman's run was everything i love about DH racing! Crashed so hard she lost her shoe, then binned it in the arena as she showed the crowd she hadn't got a shoe on her foot! Brilliant run! They might not be quite as fast as the guys, but blimey the girls know how to put on a show eh 🙂

Having raced there and knowing how brutal and steep that track is I am in complete awe at the speeds they get down, it is literally controlled falling!!!

The camera just doesn't do justice on how steep the forest is and how big the step downs and holes are!! The section through the deer gate that they were doubling, (possibly even tripling), is mind blowing!

Great race, loved watching it, caught the rely last night.

Big difference in time in the top ten compared to most courses. The choice of lines was big which made for an exciting race.

Love the fact that this round nobody is talking shit about Weatherly as she didn't podium.

Race was brilliant, plenty of thrills and spills, best one for a while.
