Bought my first UST tyre for the front of my new tubless wheelset (previous wheelsets are tubless ready/non tubeless - blimey they were easy to inflate! Next morning still had the same pressures where as my non-UST crossmark I fitted was flat (not used any sealant - just wanted to see if they would seat OK).
I know - not a suprise but was to me 🙂 - def a lot heavier though 🙂
Much tougher sidewalls too.
I've just fitted non UST hi roller to Stans crest rim - straight on and up with track pump, valve core out, sealant in, pump back up - easy. Then as I was holding it at eye level shaking the sealant around the tyre - it blew. Temp deafness and me and the garage covered in sealant.
Up now though.
LOL - I can see it not - LOL - a few 4 letter words?
Might stop you having burping/sidewall issues mid race run now then eh? 😉

Actually that was a burp and a huge slash 😉 Was never going to inflate again that minion - its in the trash as it has 3 holes in it 🙁
That rock garden at Eastridge Enduro stage 4 killed a few tyres/rims I bet!
hmm doubt I'd trust it after that.Up now though.
I fought a Maxxis Lopes onto a UST rim the other day, that was a battle of wills, having sat dormant in my tyre pile for about 4 years.
Slack bead didn't describe it. Still after a popping off the rim incident and me looking like an extra for a Ron Jeremy film with the sealant, we got there in the end.
hmm doubt I'd trust it after that.
🙁
What could possibly go wrong? I hard it pumped up hard!
