Maybe I'm being daft.. but...
These are holes in the frame, right?

Taken from this FB marketplace ad...

I mean...

I think it is some rather large paint chips but not actual holes. Surprised at how thick the paint coats look in that though!

The seller sent me a video!
It's a whopping paint chip!!!!

Really looks like a hole though!

Not sure if they still do but they used to advertise the 'smooth welds'. I ground one back to weld up a crack and found a not-so-smooth weld covered in filler...
