Hi all, is there an American or Canadian version of CRC or Wiggle, Merlin etc? I'm looking for an E13 chain guide and wonder if I could have my American family send me one as a 'present'... assuming it's still possible for this to be cheaper !

Googling hasn't really returned an obvious mail order giant over there

Well it would probably be worth it except they don't have the one I'm after in stock. Will try again some time cheers

I also usedNashbarwhen I was living there. Good prices and delivery times (for the US) at least then and to me in New York.

Oddly I found it was sometimes cheaper to order from a UK supplier and pay international postage than to use a 'local' retailer.

Yep, I've been looking at this as well, for similar reasons. Jenson seems to be the main one for the states, and there's very little for Canada - even the number of LBSs doing mail order seems pretty limited.

http://www.pricepoint.com/

http://www.performancebike.com/bikes/TopCategories_10052_10551_-1 is closer to Evans or Bikehut in being a broad church with mail order and chain of stores. They bought out Supergo which used to be the US equivalent of CRC ie market leader in cheap/OE stock.

www.speedgoat.com is a great outfit, local LBS knowledge and values and some good deals/prices.
