Long shot I know but have just finished day 2 of the Way of the Roses and about a mile out of York my sram 10 speed rear mech snaps smack bang in the middle between the jockey wheels. Have tried every bike shop in York and none of them have any Sram 10 speed mechs in.
Is there anyone on here from the York area who has a used one for sale or one kicking around, and able to help so I can finish it.

Well at least you can singlespeed it if not.
Excuse my naivety, but surely any cheap rear mech should suffice. The shifting indents are in the shifter after all. As long as the set screws are set properly, all derailleur perform the same task.
As long as you don't use silly combinations, even a road mech should get you to the finish.
Thanks all, managed to scrounge a spare bike and finished it all be it the last 8 miles on a flat back tyre 🙁
