Fathers day coming up and my Dad is after a helmet for tootling up and down the prom near his house. I said I'd get him a nice helmet for fathers day and he sent me a link to this one: Halfords Helmet . Now I know he probably wont use it very much but I'd rather get him one a bit nicer than that, so what should I be looking at in that style for around £50.

Cheers

With helmets fit is the most important.take him to your lbs or halfords and try some on.they are all tested to the same standard no matter how much you pay.id be tempted to get a quality pisspot helmet.

I would but I live in North Yorkshire and he lives near Brighton.

Just get him to buy it then and then pay for it.

Nearly bought one of https://www.halfords.com/cycling/bike-helmets/adult-bike-helmets/mongoose-urban-helmet-659908.html?dwvar_659908_colour=Black a few years ago for commuting, fitted like a glove.

He could become king of the promenade wearing https://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/HECAKROTT/carnac-kronus-time-trial-helmet 😆

Defo go for a TSG lid.

I use them for commuting, they are comfy, not too hot in the summer and can get clip on ear pads for the winter.

Plus they don't leave lines in your hair like a usual pie case
