Retired my old crosser, and decided to slowly make it my Audax bike. Bar bag, rear beam bar and Panaracer Cinder racers on there way.

I've done the same, 35c Schwalbe Marathon Supremes and SKS Trekking gaurds. I've a carbon post to replace the alloy one too, see if I can introduce a bit of comfort. I'm hoping to do my first Audax sometime this year, at the moment its my winter trainer/commuter.

So if I fit full guards and slicks to my CX it becomes an audax bike?

Just stripped it down today. Removed the 10 speed Ultegra, and replaced it with 105 9 speed triple. And full guards ordered.
