Running a Deore middle 32T ring on a 1x9 set up. Got a N Gear jump stop in there but still get the odd chain drop. Do unramped chainrings make much of a difference in keeping the chain on?

Also, any recommendations for an unramped chainring?

These look OK to me..... http://www.on-one.co.uk/i/q/CROOSS/on-one-stainless-chainring

Middleburn normal or hardcoat rings, but not slick-shift, will do nicely and a good price too. Not sure if a pukka single gear ring will make much difference though. I run an SLX middle ring and a jump stop on my hardtail and get the occasional drop, but to be fair that's when I'm landing a decent sized drop or something gnarrr. Thinking about getting a proper device for mine, but may try a proper non-geary ring if people say that should work.

Ditto the above.

The on-one is a nice ring at a good price. If you spend a bit more you can get the Surley which can be flipped round when it wears.

Both are stainless so not the lightest but last.

Other option is the nice Renthal aluminium ones. They make stuff for motocross bikes so it's built to last but the rings are also very light.
