I think I am getting better at this.

Plate hides wires and the most ham fisted attempt at milling with a drill.

Choices, choices . Many thanks to Bazzz

Original tree hugging version with many wires hanging out back

Mount has up down left right movement, rather than the original follow the contour of helmet directional approach.
Happy Holidays.

Wally.

Good to see you're working on another light.

I look forward to seeing your latest when you've sorted the optics, etc.

Keep going

Its addictive once you get in to it, you'll find yourself going out looking for dark places to try them out soon!
Did you get sorted for the Hope shims?

Thanks, your Ford heat transfer model contact still enjoys your creation.
Currently asking the DT department for access to mill for the next version.
Optics will be kept open but sealed from elements is current plan. I guess 8' optics will be best.
Yes Ebay for shims.

Yeah, as you know, he was one of my testers. He found it difficult to then go back to what he was using before, once testing was finished.
So he had one.
We use to sit next to each other, but I'm on a different project now.
But we're still in the same building though.

I'm sure you will be as pleased with your light as I am with mine, especially when you've finished it and you're out using it.
Cool !

For me, thats been my biggest reward. Going out at night and using one of my lights.

A machined housing should be so much better on a fit-n-finish level.
Will you be Anodizing, or just polishing afterwards ?.

Snaps.
You got that right, I've found that it can be very addictive, but as we know, its not all just flash-light-fun. A fair bit of work goes into our creations.

Working on anything yourself at the mo ?.

No not really, for myself I just settled on a pair of Cutter quad MR11 convertions of Marwi night Pro halogens

[img] [/img]

And a pair of the new WA 1100 lumen NGX HID's in home made MR11 housings

[img] [/img]

4000 lumens is OK until the clocks change ๐Ÿ˜‰

The rest are a series connected pair of triple Cutter converted MR11s driven by a Maxflex & 18.5v LiPo, 2 x Hope HID converted quad Cutter bflex upgrades & a few others for riding buddies & few guys from here & another forum - doubt there'll be much now until October time.
