Not that you'd notice...Anyone getting up at stupid o'clock in the morning to watch?

Nah, but I will be avoiding the results and watching it later on. Interested to see what the track is like, looks like it could be pretty exciting once it cuts in a bit. And it's got the potential to be a super tight season, too with all the new blood coming up from juniors, especially in the mens.

I'll catch highlights on tiz cycling or YouTube, is it 5am (BST) its broadcast?

I've searched for a few ways to watch and according to pink bike.....

United Kingdom:
HBO MAX
discovery+
Eurosport
TNT Sports

As I'm an ee mobile customer I can get TNT Sports for £20 month, seems expensive for just the mtb downhill (never watch any sport)

As I'm a Amazon prime member I can get HBO MAX Basic with Adds for £4.99...seems to be too good to be true?, does this give me the downhill?

So HBO Max Basic seems to be a winner for £4.99?....I can put up with occasional adds.

Occasional ads... Lol 😅

I think it's on TNT Sports through the HBO Max app, so not sure you'd get it with HBO basic. Check with EE before you go subscribing

I investigated further on amazon prime  and it appears you take out an additional sub to tnt sports once you take out the HBO Max sub

Nah **** it, can't be arsed.....If I can see the occasional race on tiz cycling that'll do me - **** the new regime/scheme

They do it all on 12 or 24 month contracts too, stupid gits, do themselves out of a fair whack of short termers I reckon

If I can figure out a free access option I could watch it eating lunch.

Track looks like it could be a fun one to watch.

Just looking at how to get this. I’m with BT Broadband and they seem to offer a few TNT (four) and HBO channels. Is there a specific channel I’d need to get if I was to add this to my BT package? It looks like they do a package for £5 a month for six months, then it’s £25. I suspect this is a 24 month contract and I’m not fussed about watching any other sport, so might be a bit of a waste.

Im out of contract with them so due a call to improve things, or move.

Tiz a difficult choice…..

Pinkbike Fantasy DH is back - I’ve started a STW league, so feel free to join my mediocrity.

I'm being lazy and just asking, so is this being broadcast on one of the new owners TV channels or is it being streamed via an app only?

I am on an EE mobile contract and have noticed I can get TNT sports for £20 per month, which is fine for 6 months of DH and other bits of cycling. From what I can tell its a monthly rolling contract. Can anyone confirm this? I assume then if I do get TNT I just need to download HBO on my firestick and log on.

Oli Clark is out already with a ruptured spleen two days before leaving for SK.

So Mondraker have lost Dunne and Clark before the season even started 😬

On an EE box, TNT Sports is viewed through the HBO Max app, or off the TV Guide on the EE box outside of the app (not sure why this is)  -  you can record from the TV guide, but not from the app. I guess the app side of things is so you can stream on phone n tablets n that.

Wyn took a nasty tumble in practice and has been vocal about some 'issues' that led to it.

But Q1 looked pretty interesting. Asa laying down a heater (I think that's what the kids say). Reece actually qualifying!

Women's field had a shake-up in Qualy too. Seagrave and Hemstreet only sneaking in on Q2.

Q2 men's about to start.

It's going to be wild.

Top 3 women are on belts and gearboxes. Is the 100k being nabbed this weekend?

Nice to see Pierron back.

most technical course for a while, so I’m going for a Bruni/Pierron top two. Hope Isles does well and I’d like to see Coulange do well but there’s not really a rider I don’t like

women’s looks too close to call (will probably be Holl!)

Shame about Wyn. Sounds like he hit a jump and there was a rider who took a chicken line re-entering the track?

Asa is totally on it. I'm calling him for the win.

You’d be brave to bet against him right now. He looks so composed and unflustered compared to many of the other riders out there.

Watched it earlier, there was a linky on the Pinbike thread for a YT stream which was pretty stable.

Good racing, but the track looked a little, amateur, maybe is what I’m thinking, I don’t mean skill needed to get down, just like they really had a struggle to make something meaningful with what they had.  Wasn’t very spectacular maybe?

Pierron said it was similar to a French national track. I’m not sure amateur is the right term.

I commented on this earlier and apparently it vanished.

Anyway, not the most dramatic race I've ever watched but there was some terrifyingly fast riding towards the end. I don't know how they keep outdoing eachother.

The track took a lot of grief but I think the main problem is that it's not very photogenic. It's a bit bleak and featureless especially up top.

The riders enjoyed it and it made for a very challenging race. Some of the fastest riders failed to find the balance and went over the edge.

Thought that was pretty exciting and unpredictable with the last few riders duking it out. Great stuff.

Great kickoff to the season and new tracks are always a leveller.
Sadly, Rick Mac commentary hasn't improved so watching with German commentary is much much better*

Tickets purchased for Lenzerheide and booked for Les Gets.

* I don't understand German...

Yeah any non-rider would struggle to understand why it didn’t look that fast. Low grip and not the steepest makes a good race for the riders but not the most exciting looking track
