Finished 3rd in the overall last season
The overall never gets the coverage it deserves/gets in other sports. If you asked me who finished 3rd I would never have guessed Luca.
Top 10, Often top of the speed trap and occasional podiums but wouldn't have put him 3rd either. Have often thought he was massively overrated because American but maybe I was wrong and consistency is key.
Finished 2nd in both Lake Placid and MSA and was mostly top 10 in the other 8 races. He's getting closer to that 1st win.
TBF I was only conscious of it as it was mentioned in some of the post race podcasts else I wouldn't be paying much attention to the overall outside of Loic v Jackson
Luca is properly fast and consistent. Unfortunately he's fastest outside of finals.
He's one of those 'only a matter of time' riders but it's getting very crowded in that group.
I had him down as fastest Yank in a time when there was a bit of a lack of US talent but looks to be coming good. Just as Asa turns up.
