Red button or online? I'll stick to redbull thanks
I wonder if it will be the full red bull stream they show or will they have their own presenter there?

Can't find any schedule to watch on Red Bull TV ?
More importantly, do I set the alarm for silly o'clock or wake up as normal and watch the replay with brekkies?
Hmm, me neither, where is it usually shown? Pretty sure I've watched it on redbull previous years. Can't find any schedule to watch on Red Bull TV ?
Different broadcast rights for the world champs innit, Think I'd still rather watch on RB, needs Warner commentary and Auntie beeb wouldn't approve of him I suspect...
Yeah I'll miss Warner commentating but not Claudio
Wow it seems it's not on Red Bull TV then.
Warner commentating on the BBC is probably wishful thinking. Though maybe if they replaced Claudio with Claire Balding...
Oh man, the commentary is going to suck isnt it !
They might tempt Phil Liggett out of retirement if we're lucky.
It was definitely on redbull tv last year.
The last time the BBC showed the World Champs, Peaty won. So hopefully that's a good sign for the Brits!
Edit: I'm talking BS...that was when he won at Fort Bill on the Orange 😕

Wowzers, last time I sure it on 'proper' telly was when the Worlds was at Ft. Bill, I don't recall it being on when Peaty won but I wouldn't argue.
RBTV is a proper chaotic mess at the best of times, I wouldn't discount them having it.
Queue "if you're new to the sport of DH mountain biking....." explanations every 30 seconds.
Yes,I know: wrong spelling of "cue". Anyway, does anyone know if it's gonna be on iPlayer?
http://mtbworldscairns.com.au/EVENT.html#msg-box4-o
Well no mention of redbull which is a massive shame, alternative commentary will be provided if you want me via Skype....
I'll probably watch it but dh mountain biking without Rob Warner commentating just isn't right 🙁
simondbarnes - MemberHugh Porter is commentating
They had him commentating on the BMX at the Olympics in 2012 - it was plain wrong.
Edit. Wasn't he "retired"?
Seems to be Fox Sports... is this the Fox of USA fame? Quite a change if that's the case.
Fox/Sky/Murdoch empire
I'm sure rob will do a live stream so that we can watch on the beeb but listen to his commentary 😀
Well given the show is getting going I've not seen anything Oz related in instagram from him or Claudio (in China apparently) and if Red Bull ain't paying...

That's the first thing I did.. stalk them on social media.
As you say, Claudio's in China which is a fairly common stop-over going to Aus, but...
Rob's been quite for a week.
Still, can't wait for this Geezer's course preview!
I love the BBC as much as anyone, but on this, they can suck it.
Best case scenario we get Ed Leigh commentating, but I bet he'll still have Clare Baldwin or some other moron as a foil.
Sigh... that ^.
Please don't speak that way about Ms Balding.
I'm sure Hugh P is a wind-up. Better be anyway!
Dark days we live in.Best case scenario we get Ed Leigh
😆
#prayfordownhill
Could be worse, could be Boardman...
Worse bit is we won't get a Claudio course preview if he's not out there with Red Bull 😮
Nothing wrong with a bit of recycling...

Last year there was a half hour highlights show of the worlds including Xc and trials on the iPlayer and I'm pretty sure warner did the commentary for it , but if I remember rightly it was without Claudio so he must of done it after , so hopefully the Beeb have got him onboard again
Anyone remember one of the winter Olympics a few years back when they had the snowboarding on and got the equivalent redbull commentators? They got over excited making it more interesting, but apparently they got a load of complaints afterwards.
I always look forward to Claudio's course preview, I think him and Rob Warner are like a proper double act now. Him and and Warner from a few years ago before he got toned down a bit are what the commentary should be like 😉
It would be nice if the BBC coverage wasn't crap but I think deep down we all know it will be 😆
It might be broadcast by the UCI on their youtube channel as well, although I can't find any details, I am pretty sure that is how they handle road and BMX so the could well be bringing mountain bike inline.

Red Bull did the race last time and probably sold the highlights package on after.
Any sign of XC coverage?
I was looking forward to this weekend and it didn't even cross my little mind that Redbull wouldn't be showing it live.
Claudio will be there in his team manager capacity. no reason why he wont do a course preview and stick it on his fb page...?
im sure they signed off the vds broadcast with a 'see you australia' too??
Is this a precursor to MTBers on SPOTY?
mahalo - MemberClaudio will be there in his team manager capacity
He doesn't really have a team at the World's unless he's covering a national squad

Do you mean when it was Warner and Gracia?
Any updates on whether it's on anywhere other than BBC?
UCI will broadcast it in all countries on their Youtube channel unless that country has a broadcaster already covering it afaik. (assuming they have any media setup that is). So for us sadly it'll be crappy BBC... remember when Fontana's seat post snapped in the Olympics and the commentators didn't notice it for a number of laps.
Shirley the team managers, mechanics etc still go to the world's? Got to be a big thing marketing wise and bikes still need building and fixing.
Brendan isn't there is he? The other guy made it?
Oh btw, looking at the wording of the BBC link.
It's "live from some ungodly hour" and highlights on the iPlayer.
If you want to watch it all (not sure if that'll be all the riders or the top 10/30 as per RBTV) then I think you can record redbutton on 991 on Virgin and 980 on Sky.
Nah it's finally on at a decent time
Now showing up on red bull schedule, whether this will be blocked in the UK or not I don't know.

Do you mean when it was Warner and Gracia?
I meant Claudio as he is now and the Warner from a few years ago would make the best commentary team, probably wasn't that clear in what I wrote though looking back at it 😳
What a relief...
Sam Hill using Nukeproof Mega apparently.
I saw Pagey was teasing as much the other day in Insta.
Makes sense as he;s been doing so well on it this year. I was hoping he'd be on the 290, but realise that's unlikely.

Thank **** for that. Won't be blocked in UK.
Fly in 14hrs so looking forward to getting up to the jungle
Well if Sam wins I've been tipped where the party is. Currently hoping for Greg or Adam Brayton how hard is it to find a marra in cairns
2:50 am
hmmmm - am I that dedicated.
I can't remember - are they qualified/seeded?
Uci order no seeding run
Quite the British line-up!
Elite men
Gee Atherton
Adam Brayton
Laurie Greenland
Charlie Hatton
Danny Hart
Bernard Kerr
Jack Reading
Greg Williamson
Elite women
Rachel Atherton
Tahnee Seagrave
(I'm assuming the reason Manon isn't mentioned is because she retired after the initial list was published).
Greenland is my only podium bet for that list
Greg Williamson was 6th at Cairns last year (Hart 11th), but yes Laurie will be good to watch.
I'm not a massive fan of Cairns to be honest though.
I am, it's 29c 16c at night and a cheap trip to the great barrier reef. Add in my mate is race director looking forward to the party
Greenland is my only podium bet for that list
What about Tahnee or Rach? 😉
Any word on how Rachel is? I saw she raced the last WC although must have still be weak since she only came second 😆

She came 4th. 2nd place in the splits until the final section where she lost loads of time. Sounds like she didn't want to risk her shoulder ahead of Cairns and Val de sol is a beast
Greenland is my only podium bet for that list
Gee can turn it on for the worlds, and Danny will be going balls out to defend his jersey I imagine.
In the ladies it seems like Tracey Hannah must be the favourite but there are a few other contenders this year now that Rachael is off form. Love to see Tahnee take it home after missing out on the world cup overall.
and we are off!!

Custom bikes a plenty, dry and dusty, a nice 29c and no rain forecast
Chilling out with a nice cold beer this evening and ready to see is all kick off from tomorrow. Spied what I think was the mexican team hanging around outside A&E earlier...
MTB on the Beeb and Blofeld retiring after the current Test Match.....
My "Rob Warner on TMS" fantasy is getting closer.......
When is it actually on (in UK time)? Friday, Saturday or Sunday morning?
Sunday 10 September
03:55-04:45, Women's elite downhill, BBC Red Button and online
04:55-07:55, Men's elite downhill, BBC Red Button and online
09:20-10:10, Women's elite downhill, BBC Red Button (replay)
10:10-13:10, Men's elite downhill, BBC Red Button (replay)
I've just realised it's on the Sunday and I'll be in a youth hostel without tvs or internet. noooooooooooo!
Ah well.
its not showing as a live event (or at all) on the RB app on iOs... contrary to the posted link earlier. hmmm...
cant even search for it.
It was on the Android RBtv app the other day but it's gone now
Still on the Red Bull Live schedule though:> https://www.redbull.tv/live/AP-1RA8HCC8N2111/uci-mtb-world-championship
that's why i don't understand why i cant find it on the app- every other MTB event is and was. Even Hardline is there. Pretty shit they cant sort that out!

Try spoofing your region settings, could well be completely sorted just region specific.
