Going to replace the stock tyres on my slate with some more suitable for offroad use. Any suggestions?

What's your max clearance, front and back?

650b x 42c

I changed mine to WTB resolutes, I also have a set of schwalbe g one evos.

Either of those will be good, although the resolute is a better ‘off road’ choice and the g one will be a faster rolling gravel option

I've got 38c G Ones on at the moment which are great on the road plus bridleways type terrain. I'm about to order some Surly Knard 41c tyres and see if they're better for winter/spring off road stuff.

American Slates now come with WTB Resolutes I think. There's a reason for that. Great tyres if your rough stuff riding is more off road than on.

Sorry, jonnyboi has already stated that!
