Hi,
I want to put off road tyres on my Hoy Shizuoka. There's bags of room in the chainstays but a silly little threaded mud guard mount in the apex of the stays, giving max 40mm clearance for tyre height.
Please could any owners of Surly Knard 700 x 41 tell me how tall the tyre is?
I'd consider a slightly narrower tyre if there are any other suggestions, but it could do with being comparably grippy..
OR, what could go wrong if I hacksaw the obstruction away? (alu frame)
