Me'n'her are going to do our little weekend roady tour in July, format being
- 30 miles-ish first morning, pub lunch, 30 miles-ish in the afternoon, end at pub with some rooms or a B&B with pub nearby. Nice meal and a few beers.
- Big ol'fryup second morning, 30 miles-ish to another pub lunch, 30 miles-ish back to start.
Have previously done Wiltshire from home (Ciren) and out into the Cotswolds, and a three dayer round the Yorkshire Dales. This year we're thinking of maybe driving an hour up the road and doing something around Glos/Worcs/Heref area.
Any ideas or recommendations of quiet back-laney routes, nice pubs for lunches/evening meals and places to stay warmly welcomed...
No-one? ๐
You could try asking Worcester st John's cycle club or on their Facebook page, if no luck I could see if my brother knows some decent routes
South Downs Way area, or part of, then train back to car/home (depending upon how you got to Winchester)?
Even if you are looking for a road route, the lanes around most of the "big" popular categorised hills between Warnford and Petersfield are very traffic quiet, lovely views and as good as pollution-free air.
