i have a new turbo trainer, and my god it's loud!! Is there anyway to make it quiter with out using a special tyre, cos the missus sent me outside on it lol
If its air resistance then they are loud. Fluid are quieter. Solid surface helps, rather than floorboards that amplify the sound. Nice night for it though. They get a bit hot inside so you're probably better off.
turn the tv up,
get a divorce,
a few layers of carpet under it, offcuts from the carpet shop.
theyre quieter on a concrete or solid floor

What kind of tyre are you using ?
Should have got a fluid one, mine barely makes any noise.
Carpet underlay etc under the turbo frame will help take some of the vibration noise out. I have this [url= http://www.decathlon.co.uk/26x15-randonneur-id_8026694.html ]tyre[/url] on my elastogel turbo and it works a treat.
What turbo have you got as some do make more noise than others.
