[Closed] Tuning 1x10 setup gears

Just converted to a 1x10 setup and my chain is skipping around the 4th / 5th cogs. It shifts sweet across the others.

In the past I've only ever experienced skipping at the high and the low ends so not sure what I can do to sort this. I'm assuming that it has to do with the smaller gaps between the cogs??!

The rear mech is an XTR shadow+ paired with an XTR shifter, XT cassette and SRAM 10 speed chain.

Would the chain have anything to do with it? I know Shimano say to use their chains but I've always used a SRAM chain with 9 speed setup and never had issues.

Any advice would be appreciated.
