I've just bought a pack of three plugs from the Woolly Hat Shop for just shy of £17.00.

There seem to be a lot of very similar offerings on eBay at much more competitive prices but I shied away in case they were a bit useless. I've never actually used one before so obviously don't get through many of them but I am wondering if the cheaper versions are as good as what I'm hoping is a good quality product.

Your thoughts would be most welcome on this thorny topic.

I got a cheapo multi pack, they’re superb. Have fixed multiple tyres. They work especially well when the hole is too big for an anchovie but not so big that the tyre is a write off. Have never had one fail.

Bought a job lot from Ebay for less than £10 over 10 years ago. Gave some to mates and used a few over the years. Still got quite a few left in the camper and in the garage.

Never had one fail

Yup. Cheaper ones just as good. You just paid the mtb tax is all.
