I've been given a tubeless Conti Mountain King 2.2. I have Mavic 317 rims converted to run tubeless with Stans strips etc. Can I fit this tyre without any worries ? I'm struggling to see why not so far.
I always use tubeless tyres with stans. its fine and I dont have to faff around sealing a non-tubeless tyre. Should be fine, although I've only personally used Maxxis tyres, but different sizes and tread patterns

Yep throw a bit of stans in just for safe measure .
No probs i've been running kenda ust tyres on mavic 717 disc rims for ages.
I got away with a High Roller LUST on Mavic XM719's for 6 months just using the Stans yellow tape! Kept expecting it to go wrong though. Swapped the tyre out now but shows what you can get away with.
