I ripped a hole under a 'nobble' on my HD's.....

Blinkin stone caught between tyre and frame.....the nobble gave up first...

Anyone had any experience on patching a nobble? Tear is about 3-4mm.

Looks catastrophic..... I am guess the pressure on the nobbles means this is terminal??

Cheers

I've fixed two tyres with regular patches, they're doing fine.

OK.

Had a weldite repair kit.

Used a patch - just bigger than rip.

If this fails.....any better kits?

You can buy a large sheet of Weldtite patch material and cut to size - pain in the ass for tubes but perfect for tyres.

I did something similar the other day

Anchovie got me home, repaired with a puncture patch on the inside and some super glue on the outside

Have a look on eBay or a car tyre place for a plug patch. Repaired a few tubeless tyres this way and they've all held up well.

Same throng happened to mine. I used a sheet of vulcanised rubber glued on the inside of the tyre.
