I've taken the plunge and brought some, need to buy a conversion kit now but just wanted to check what I needed!

I've currently got racing Ralph’s (folding evo version) anyone had any success using these on tubeless?

Also am I right in thinking I just need to buy a conversion kit that consists of the rim tap/ valve and them some gunk to go inside? If so anyone recommend where would be good to get this from!?

Cheers

If it is the new crest I think you only need the valve and goo. I am running Crests and have used Nobby Nic and Racing Ralphs on them, standard tubeless ready and the slightly older Evo tyres without any issues. I just make sure I put a decent amount of the stans fluid in and all good.

Yep, excellent. If they're the newest PaceStar ones they'll be bloody tight though.

Yes. May be better to buy the constituent parts (genuinely not sure). Roll of tape, valves and sealant is only c£20 or so.

Loads of places do the Hope Tubeless kit. I got one for a mate from http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=49111

I have the same set-up on 2 bikes - you just need yellow tape, valves and some gunk.

I have used RRs, Nobby Nicks (both older non-tubeless ready types) and Mud xs with no problems at all.

Most of the time they go up fine with a track pump, sometimes I have need to use C02.

When using older tyres I had already used on a bike with inner tubes - I did discover a few holes in the tyres from previous punctures which failed to seal. I patched them up on the inside of the tyre using a regular puncture repair kit.

I got all my stuff from Just Riding Along
