I just want to post my story of ordering a road frame. This is factual and not dissing, so no names. ๐Ÿ˜‰
09/07 I made the intial enquiry and got a response within a couple of hours, impressed.
09-19/07 a bit of toing and froing until I have the sufficient info to make an order. Final e-mail was basically a repeat of the first one, slightly less impressed with the running around and style of replies. Has courtesy really committed suicide? Usually a 24hr delay for reponses from them.
19/07 went through the buying process but had to wait for Paypal to clear funds so couldn't pay and had to wait 24 hours. E-mail from them asking from instructions within the hour, see, you can respond quickly when you want to! ๐Ÿ˜‰
20/07 Order placed, now just to wait the 10 days or so for delivery, size agreed- although I'm a little nervous about this. Frame in stock- no problem there, sit back and wait...
21/07 24hr delay as crdeit is being verified, it was Paypal so just the same as cash, no?
22/07 Progress, my order is in the warehouse awaiting picking, yay!
23/07 My order is in the warehouse awaiting picking.
24/07 My order is in the warehouse awaiting picking.
25/07 My order is in the warehouse awaiting picking.
26/07 My order is in the warehouse awaiting picking. Less yay!

How big is the chuffing warehouse?

When will the frame arrive? (answers on a postcard to.....)

More updates later, this isn't a rant BTW.

You say 10 days for delivery. You placed the order on the 20th.

You need to wait another 3 days before bitching about it. I wouldn't order something that is quoted as taking 10 days to get to me. If it's there I wanted tomorrow or the day after. Anything else is slow for slows sake.

I waited 4 months for my last road frame - you're complaining about a week?

If they told you 4 months and it took 4 months, where's the problem.

Repeat: I AM NOT COMPLAINING, BITCHING OR FRIGGIN RANTING! OK?

It is a light hearted look at the delivery process, as someone who won alot of business in the past based on delivery, it's something that is close to me. ๐Ÿ˜‰

its a crap story and i bet i can guess what manufacturer it is.

im sure you'd be telling a story that you'd not heard anything if they hadn't emailed you at all in the passing days
