Since 2008, Trilhos Vivos has been organizing ultra endurance mtb races in Portugal, such as SRP160, eoX240 and Sudoex, mostly for Portuguese and Spanish riders.
2012 is coming, and we've finally gathered the conditions we found we needed to make the TransAllgarve race.
It's going to be 5 days trough the "Europe's most famous secret", from east to west, covering about 280 miles and over 30 000 ft of climbing,
From the eastern mediterranean forests, to the west wile beaches cliff-tops with great singletrack trails.
Great weather, great food, cheap flights to Faro, the perfect getaway in May.

What would be the most suitable airport, would like to check likely flight prices, I am very tempted to sign up.
MSP, Faro is the closest, and more suitable airport to get to Algarve.
