anyone been fortunate enough to do both? Any thoughts / comparisons?
Thinking of trying to enter one next year
TP seems to have more up!
thanks
Intending to do TP next year, but can't help with previous experience. Are you just looking the difference between the 2 to make a decision between them ?
Trans savoie this year was ace. 85 percent of the up was rideable. 99 percent of the down was rideable. People who'd done both seemed to say TP up is a lot of carry but the downs on both are awesome. TS has changed for 14 looking at it, it looks shorter with a lot of the, granted few, dull bits took out.
Apply to both you might get in none, both or one of them.
Tony TSVet.
just looking for any insights really - deffo won't be able to do both
TP is probably more of an 'adventure' in that you do more on bike climbing and the area the trails go through are not ridden as frequently. TS has more uplift and more descending, and routes through amazing areas of the Alps known to many as being winter sport havens.
TS is several years younger and will evolve more over time. TP has had the benefit of a few years of operation and improved elements of it over time.
Both are an incredible experience, enjoy it if you do get into either event.
Well you'll have to decide soon as they both sell out fast, TS are doing a ballot based on all entries received in the 24 hours after 6pm on Halloween ! A fair method I think.
Got the same dilemma if you apply for both the deposit is due for the savoie before you find out about the Provence. I edging more towards the Provence
Trans Savoie entry opens tonight. Fingers crossed once more 😉
