I just can't grasp the logic of this, although I suspect logic doesn't factor highly into the culprit's thinking.

He said: "There were five or six places where they had put the wire/string at head height and they had used our tape to re-direct riders into areas where the wire was. It is very thin and you wouldn't see it until the last minute.

that will be the disgruntled retiree who walks the dog or grand kids once every other weekend and complains if something doesn't suit them.

Nail on head, friend of mine was marshalling at the event and was told by disgruntled dog walker he was going to walk up the coarse while riders were coming down and it was the organisers fault if he was hit. Some people have strange ideas.

Never, ever underestimate the tossers.

They are like the masons - everywhere. Unlike the masons, they have no structure, but they are way more numerous.
