From their Facebook post...

"Unfortunately After a park inspection this evening the park will be closed until further notice due to sabotaging of the trails.

We’d like to remind people that the park is a facility used by people of all ages and abilities. Sabotaging trails and leaving traps is deadly and people who do such things face prosecution. We will be closely monitoring what goes on and all evidence will be handed to the police.

More updates will be posted later on this week and a decision will be made by the weekend whether we will be opening or staying closed.

This goes to all members as well, so anyone caught riding during this time will be dealt with accordingly!
Lastly, to those who continue to support the park we thank you and hopefully we can get this issue resolved."

Depressing stuff. It's bad enough interfering oddballs booby-trapping trails in quiet out of the way spots that are causing no harm but have no formal permission... but this is something quite different.

how on earth does someone booby trap a trail in the hours available while they're closed and the place is vulnerable in a way that would force the place to close down for more than a few hours let alone days?

The very same damage to your local trail in the woods might be five minutes with a spade and a few rotten logs to shore up. For havok as a commercial concern the repairs might need things like a digger to ensure they can be done to a safe standard which takes rather more time.

Not forgetting - if you find one piece of trail sabotage... you cant really open your bike park till you've checked the entire rest of it for any other acts I suppose.

I'd be installing wildlife cameras and seeing if I could catch the sods in action.

Only useful if you're prepared to hire a private investigator to find out who they are, trace them down and go round to break their legs.

There will be zero police interest of action on this.

That's an easy fix, just tell them the perpetrators left doughnuts in the car park
