Can any locals in the Shipley/Baildon area let me know what the current trail conditions are in that area? I'm planning on doing a ride (from Benji Haworths new guide book/ route 13) over there tommorrow and don't want a wasted journey from Thirsk if it's going to be a bog/slosh fest.

Went up over Baildon moor yesterday afternoon. A bit of surface mud, but not too bad for this time of year. Go for it!!

A bit of new soft mud after the snow/rain, but still pretty dry for the time of year! You'll be fine!

Enjoy!

Thanks guys, had a crackng day out doing the Pudsey and Airedale routes on Saturday, I'll be over. The new guidebook is mentioned in the latest fresh goods B.A.Nana[b] - West Yorkshire Mountain biking by Benjamin Haworth ( vertebrate publishing)

I did Esholt/Saltaire/Shipley Glen/Baildon Moor yesterday. All fine, a couple of patches starting to bog up again down by the River Aire at Esholt, but over the tops is fine. Always holds up quite well up there, until it gets wrecked by horses in the wet....
