Anyone ridden at either of the Midlands MTB Meccas in the last week or so?

How wet?

Well FTD and the Monkey are closed due to the weather tomorrow, no idea about the off piste, but according to the FC, officially the forest is closed.

I was thinking of going Sunday so I'll see if the weather improves by then.

Thanks for pointing that out, was planning on hitting the Chase on Sunday too - will keep an eye on the forestry updates.

The pines will probably be closed as well due to high wind. We’ve been kicked out before now. It was riding well last week though, no puddles at all.

Cannock was dry and dusty with the slippy pebbles of doom in full effect last night.

Nice to get a dry ride in but on reflection I'd have preferred wet trails that were more fun.

Thanks for the heads up, as I never think to check if a trails open. When will we know if it's open tomorrow sunday 10th. Do they make a call at a certain time?

The trails are always open at cannock. Just park at the road crossing rather than the vis centre.

okay, so the advice above is to be taken with a pinch of salt.

It's no different to riding in any forest in the wind.
