Any suggestions for a good light trail bike, at least 120mm and a hardtail.

Going to have a look at the Whyte 19 & 905 to start with. Bugget up to £1500ish.

Not looking at FS 🙂

build up a soul or a BFe.

i've just built up a BFe and its ****ing ace. Piccies tomorrow

Cotic Soul. Mine weighs in at just under 26lb and that's without trying.

kona_uk I am in exactly the same boat. looking for something similar and the whytes look quite good.

Im looking for more of a frame only though!

Had a soul previously and they are great-relly are comfy and a light agile ride!

imho - no need to look any further the whyte 905 looks the dogs danglies. the only other thing to do is try and demo.

Have a look at the Chumba HX1. A customer of mine has one built up with 120mm Fox's and it is pretty nice.

I bought a Whyte 905 5 weeks ago... its quite simply beautiful to ride.
BUT... and its a big but!

Watch the forks... i'm on the second set of Reba's and they're shagged after one ride! The last ones died after their first ride too!
The left seal doesnt seem to sit in the lower properly and keeps popping up, leaving you with quantock mud down in the lowers! Mmmmmm
