I'm looking to build a new weapon. I've spent my first year of xc/trail riding on a Cotic BFe and I'm loving it to bits. Now I think it's time to get an FS build on the go. I've been collecting bits from the classifieds to save some cash but I'd like to get a new frame with a proper warranty.

I want something I can do everything on, build relatively light for the odd event (< 30lbs) but will also be good for hitting some rougher terrain and these seem fairly well suited.

I've looked around quite a bit and I've taken a liking to the Yeti 575 alloy/carbon rear and the Intense Tracer VP. I guess I should have a go on them before buying to at least get a feel for the size. I'm around 6'2 so looking to try out a large.

Anyone know anywhere near south wales I could demo one or would anyone local be willing to let me have a pedal on theirs? You can have a go on my BFe if you like ๐Ÿ˜‰ I ride in Pontypool mostly, about 10 minutes from Cwmcarn and just over an hour from Afan.

Hi,

Get yourself over to Bikestyle in Clevedon, jusy off the M5 so not too far from you.

Speak to Phil, he sells Yeti and Intense. He runs a Tracer with CCDB shock and he has a demo medium 575. He'll demo his Tracer too i think.

Finding a large may be a problem as i would have thought that most shops demo a medium as it covers most people.

This is my local LBS and he is great. Well worth the journey IMO.

Thanks nickegg. I'll give them a shout but if I can't demo one in my size then there's not much point.
