Anyone used one? My dog is getting on a bit now and can't walk too far. We're going on hols soon, staying next to a flat cycle track, so I thought we could tow him up and down it and he can have a little walk now and then.
Halfords have the kids ones on half price sale at the moment, thinking about trying one of those.
Any thoughts?
Might be worth a look here if you haven't already.

I think they'd work well for a calm older dog.
I tried my terrier in one but she wasn't keen. She's 12 but still got far too much energy. I'm keeping it though for when she gets older.
Riding the bike was fine with it and it seemed pretty stable. They're super easy to set up too.
Seeing as they're on at half price sounds like it might be worth giving a go.
Thanks both, I had'nt seen those other threads, I'll have a look.
He is calm and he's 16, pretty much on his last legs unfortunately. Was just thinking we could have a better holiday if we had the chance to get out and about without having to drive everywhere.
I do it with my older dog, but my young bitch, his daughter really doesn't like it, she foams up at the mouth with stress!
She just runs alongside quite happily.

This restores my faith in human nature! Doggie love! <3
OP are you in the midlands as I have an old Halfords trailer in the garage you can have? Just need to check I've got all the bits...
dc2.0 thats a very generous offer, thank you. I've sent you a PM
A friend of mine is currently cycling to Rome from the Midlands in memory of a friend. She has her dog in a specific doggy trailer but within 3 days the ribbed rubber flooring in the trailer had rubbed the skin off the poor dogs feet. Sorted now with a combination of a cushion and doggy boots, but something to bear in mind if you take the dog for longer rides.
Her story so far if anyone is interested
