I'm after a waterproof for touring duties (by which I mean spring/summer trips in Europe, including days in the mountains) as well as day to day use. That touring requirement has got me looking at the lower bulk and versatility of jacket-to-gilet items like the [url= http://www.groundeffect.co.nz/product-detail-DOC-RAI.htm ]Ground Effect Dr Smock[/url] and the [url= http://www.endura.co.uk/Product.aspx?dept_id=122&prod_id=209 ]Endura Convert 2[/url]. The Ground Effect jacket is probably ruled out by their honest assessment of it's waterproof capabilities on the website; good for an hour in steady rain at best. I'll need something that will keep out the water all day if needs be.
The bumph on the Endura jacket (and it's reviews on CRC) suggest that it might be a more full waterproof though. Has anyone got any experience of this jacket and whether it might be a good option for me?
